Today introduced the two mold production processes, the production of products is full of our life everywhere, is injection molding and blow molding two processes.
They have their own characteristics, blow mold using the “injection + blow”, injection mold using “injection + pressure”, injection is solid core, blow molding is empty core.
01. Injection mould
First, the injection mold is introduced, which is the injection molding treatment of the material, that is, the plastic material is melted, and then injected into the mold cavity, after cooling, it has been processed into the desired shape. The shape formed is the final appearance of the finished product, and there is no need for other processing.
Also, the injection molding process controls the details very well, and during the injection molding process, the projections, threads, and other parts can be formed in one step.
Then there is the blowing plastic, which is a relatively rapid development of plastic processing method, also known as hollow blow plastic. The Coca-Cola bottle we released before was blown out, using the blowing process.
Its processing principle: put the thermoplastic resin or tubular plastic billet obtained from injection molding into the mold, and then inject the compressed air into the mold after the mold is closed, make the plastic blank inflatable and close to the inner wall of the mold, and then obtain the required hollow product by cooling and mold release.
Very similar to the hollow product blow molding, the manufacturing process of blow molding film is in principle produced without using molds, which is completely different from processing injection molding.
According to the billet production method, blow molding can be divided into extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding, the new development direction is multi-layer blow molding and tensile blow molding.
03. The difference between the two people
Intuitively, the product expression form of injection mold and blow mold is the main difference. The products manufactured by the injection molding process are usually relatively thick, relatively simple to manufacture, and have relatively low requirements for raw materials.
Blowing molding process is different, the product is thin and transparent, because of this, the toughness and tensile performance of raw materials have certain requirements, the processing requirements of blowing mold are relatively high.
Injection mold and blow mold are widely used in daily life, and both have their own advantages and characteristics, and the development prospect is good.
